The finance industry is known for using a LOT of paper and even though there is trend of moving a lot of the processes online, there are still cases where the use of paper is required. One Link Mortgage wanted to find a way to make a positive impact for our paper usage.

We reached out to our incredible team on Earth Day and asked what their thoughts were on planting trees. We were overwhelmed by the positive response we received! One Link purchased 180 one year old Blue Spruce (Colorado Spruce) seedlings for our mortgage brokers to plant. This was just our small way of giving back to the environment. The young trees were planted in a variety of locations:

• Petersfield
• Dominion City
• Steinbach
• Lac du Bonnet
• La Salle
• Narol
• Falcon Lake
• Lorette
• East Selkirk
• Mitchell

Even though health restrictions wouldn’t allow us to plant the seedlings as a group event, it sounds like our brokers and their families enjoyed themselves nonetheless. Here are just a few of the comments we received with their photos:
